The morning chores and then

The relief of water

The careful grooming of the sacrificial object

Hair shaved

Nails clipped and bleached in peroxide

Teeth scrubbed to full white

 

Then meeting halfways

To share the reciprocal gift

Of natural

Imperfect

Beautiful bodies

 

Underneath

An undercurrent of violence

Violence of breath

Violence of blood

Violence of cum

Brutal

Indomitable

Harshness of life

A buzz

Heady and menacing

A hornets’ nest

Bitter and wholesome juice

Pushed down the throath

To the last drop

 

Later

The toil starts again

Contented

  17 07 2025      23.ANATOMY Stands the Leopard Prince Constrained Confused Facing one that Cannot be torn part Disjointed Disassembled They say - It’s alive   But hasn’t life always been A precondition The function to be probed For which the Leopard itself was awarded With fangs and claws To break To crush To rip To carve up for dissection   Forbidden How to even talk to it Forbidden Its private parts Forbidden The messy gobbling up The sucking dry of soul They say - It’s alive More - It is an innocent   The snowheaded critter Dog-collared and manacled Stays Still So meek and yet so firm Baring its crooked teeth In a lopsided grin. The fiery beast stands -That otherworldy strong That forever young- Beaten and conquered Melting down in a roar Till it exhausts itself In a wailing Mew.

  24.EPITAPH I was always cautious when I lived Everything done by half Half portions half pints Half love with half a heart Half death by half a suicide Nevertheless Life hurled itself at me From places unseen Relentless Merciless Ferociously Taloned Forced down the guzzle With the force of a gale I squirmed Wriggled Strived to slip from its grip Swooned and played dead Hid Acted blind Prayed for boring Got thrilling And then In the end   I was so happy
